The Noe Lady Cougars [6th grade] basketball team is open to all 6th grade girls regardless of basketball experience or knowledge. All those who make the team will earn playing time by hard work and a positive attitude at practice.
It is expected that parents will transport girls to games at least 30 minutes before game time. Games will be played every Tuesday evening during the basketball season, with a season-ending tournament [if the team qualifies for it].
While it is encouraged to support you’re the Noe Lady Cougars’ Basketball team, it is equally encouraged to make sure that all support is positive and directed toward the enjoyment of the game for all of the girls [on both teams].
All students [grades 6-8] must have an updated sports physical each and every year and must watch the JCPS Health and Safety Video in order to tryout. Each young lady must also maintain a 2.0 GPA each week and must abide by the Noe Lady Cougars set of rules and guidelines in order to be eligible to play each and every week.
Late September - February. Practice and game times will be provided to those who make the team.
An activity fee, as of yet an undetermined amount, is to be paid when the athlete is chosen to play on the team. The players will also be apart of a girls’ basketball fundraiser to raise money for their shoes and other equipment for the team.
