Upon notification that the application has been processed, NOE will contact you by mail to request the following items:
1. A copy of the student's current report card
2. One teacher recommendation
3. A completed information form
4. An essay entitled, "I Want to Come to NOE Middle School Because..."
(Forms for items 2, 3, and 4 will be mailed to you)
In addition, your child's current school will be contacted by NOE requesting a copy of the their VISI record (permanent record).
In order to be eligible for consideration for NOE Middle School's Visual and Performing Arts Optional Program or the Gifted and Talented Magnet Program, a student must have maintained at least a 3.2 average, and demonstrated good attendance, attitude and behavior. Students applying for the Gifted and Talented Magnet Program must also score at least a 24 on the CogAT (Advance Program test).
