A lifelong resident of Louisville, Mr. Raggard is the proud JCPS graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, the University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University. Mr. Raggard earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Louisville in 1988. After spending a brief period of time working in the public relations/advertising world, Mr. Raggard returned to U of L to complete teaching certification requirements for middle grades education in 1991.
Mr. Raggard spent 8 years as a Language Arts teacher at Southern Middle School. While working as a teacher, he earned his master’s degree in Secondary Education from U of L in 1995 and completed his Rank I in Educational Administration from WKU in 1999. In 2000, Mr. Raggard began his administrative career as an assistant principal at Iroquois Middle School. After four years of service at Iroquois, he transferred to Meyzeek Middle School and is currently in his 6th year as an administrator here.
Mr. Raggard resides in Oldham County. He is an avid sports fan, loves music of all kinds, coach’s his daughter in softball and basketball, and is the ultimate University of Kentucky basketball and football fan! The thing he absolutely loves the most about Meyzeek is the family and community atmosphere where students are priority number one. His mission at Meyzeek is to continue to support teachers, parents and students as they strive to get the most out of their middle school experience.
