Science Fair - Three Meyzeek students have been chosen to be among the top 400 science fair project winners in the nation by the Discovery Young Scientist Challenge.  These students won first place in their categories at the Louisville Regional Science Fair and the Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair in the spring of 2007.  They were named among the top 10% of project winners at these fairs, and were nominated by the fairs.  After nomination, they had to fill out a packet of information on their project, and send it to Washington, D.C., to be judged with 2000 other ideas from all over the country.  These three were among 8 students who won from the state of Kentucky.  On September 12, the Discovery Challenge will announce their 40 national finalist online at their website:  www.discovery.com/dysc.  If any of them wins, the student will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. in late October for the national finals competition.  Congratulations and good luck to our students!
