Dress Code
Students out of dress code will be sent to our Youth Services Center to change. If suitable clothing is not available in the YSC, parents will be asked to bring a change of clothing.
- Caps, sweatbands, bandanas, sunglasses and head coverings (curlers, picks, combs, and other hair grooming devices) may not be worn indoors. Headbands can be worn but must be holding back hair. Wristbands may not be worn.
- No muscle shirts, spaghetti strap shirts, tank tops, bare midriffs, halter, tops, see through clothing, coverall type jumpsuits or visible undergarments.
- No clothing, jewelry, chains, spike jewelry, teeth jewelry, bracelets, or other accessories that may be intimidating or disruptive to the educational process of the students.
- No piercings except ears.
- No bare feet. Shoes must be worn at all time. No bedroom slippers.
- Coats, hats, and gloves are to be placed in lockers during the day. They are not to be worn in the classroom.
- No clothing that states, implies, or promotes drug, alcohol, tobacco, violent, sexual or anti-social messages.
- Pants or shorts are to be worn at the waist or assistance will be provided.
- No low-cut shirts or short shorts/skirts. Shorts and skirts must be worn no shorter than 6 inches from the middle of the knee. No skirts with slits above the knee.
- No belts, jewelry or hats with lighted messages of any kind.
- No tank tops or muscle shirts. Sleeves must be at least 4 fingers in length.
- Students may not wear pants, shorts, skirts, skorts or any other garment with either real or simulated cuts, rips or tears above the knee.
- Students shall not write and/or draw on themselves or others. No clothing shall be allowed that has been written and/or drawn upon.
- Students shall not wear or have any type of stickers or tape on the person or clothing.
