Student Technology Leadership Program (S.T.L.P.)
Students at CMS have the opportunity to participate in S.T.L.P. after school until 4:00 p.m. The day of the week is chosen each year according to schedules.

The six goals of S.T.L.P.

1. The S.T.L.P. will develop activities that enhance the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

2. The S.T.L.P. will provide leadership opportunities for all students.

3. The S.T.L.P. will experience multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.

4. The S.T.L.P. will form learning partnerships between students with different technology skills.

5. The S.T.L.P. will develop activities that benefit communities.

6. The S.T.L.P. will develop instructional activities that integrate technology, benefit the school, and support KETS.

Carrithers members participate in several projects. S.T.L.P. students help with taking care of school computers and recycle empty ink cartridges. Students assess software and then teach others how to use it. We have an ongoing service-learning project in which we collect pull-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

Currently12 sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students are active members of S.T.L.P. The membership is open throughout the school year, and all students are welcome to join.
