Teachers select two student representatives for their team based on grades and basic knowledge. These team representatives compete against one another in the schoolwide Geography Bee. The winner represents CMS at the District Geography Bee Competition and, if they win, the state conpetition.
Spelling Bee
Teams hold competitions in their language arts classes. The winners compete in a school Spelling Bee. The winners of the CMS Spelling Bee represent CMS at the District Spelling Bee Competition and, if they win, the state competition.
Governor's Cup
Competitions are held each year in the district and then in the state.
Science Olympiad
Regional events are held during March at Louisivlle Collegiate.
State events are held during April at WKU.
Conflicting schedules prevented us from participating in Science Ollympiad during this school year. We hope to have a group compete in 2011-2012.
