Youth Services Center

What is the Youth Services Center?

Youth Services Centers (YSC) were created as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act and are located in selected middle and high schools. Centers are designed to enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by helping to eliminate barriers that interfere with learning. YSCs are links to families, schools, and communities.

Who operates the Youth Services Center?

The D.O.S.S. (Doing Our School Service) Youth Services Center has a full-time coordinator and a part-time clerk. The YSC is governed by an Advisory Council that consists of parents, school staff, community representatives, and students. The council meets every month to discuss issues important to the Doss community and to provide focus for the D.O.S.S. YSC.

Who may use the Center?

The YSC is available to all students who attend Doss and to their parents, guardians, and families.
