Speedway

     In the Speedway Magnet, students have the opportunity for hands-on experience in running a business. The curriculum focuses on skills that pertain to becoming an entrepreneur. Students in the Speedway Magnet will take Accounting I, Business Management, Computer Technology, and Business Law or Economics in order to obtain their Business Career Major.

     In addition to the classroom curriculum, students will have real-world experience in purchasing, inventory control, customer service, human resources, and many other skills involved in running a business. The profits from this program are distributed to participating seniors who choose to pursue a college education after high school.
