Web IIWeb Design II, the creators of the Eastern High School Web Site. A collection of varied personalities and talents. The creation of this site was no easy task. Starting in early October, Dr. Holmes came up with the bright idea to re-design the school's web site. Many of the students thought he was nuts, others thought it was a great idea. So, Dr. Holmes challenged the students to create a template for the basic layout of the site. Once the templates were made, students, teachers and administrators decided that the one you are looking at, is the one for Eastern.

Thanks to Brad for his excellent eye for design, Cari for her impatience and very little tolerance for incompetence, Seth for his willingness to figure out the difficult tasks, Leo, Blake, Kon and Jake for banner design. Also thanks to Abby, Kristin, Tiffany, Drew, Trey and Justin and the rest of the students for providing extra support and data entry when needed. But of course we had our slackers, Yuriy and Gagi, whom occasionally lifted a finger for the project.

Before students are allowed to take Web II, they must pass Web I. In Web I, students learn how to use a variety of programs like Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash. They also learn how to code with CSS, HTML, and Javascript. Web II enhances, emphasizes, and refines those skills while working on developing sites for others and the school.

The Web design program articulates college credit with Jefferson Community and Technical College as well as Louisville Technical Institute. Additionally, students in the class have the opportunity to become an Adobe Certified Associate in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Flash.
