Parent Involvement
Provide a quiet place and set a time daily for
homework and reading with your child.
Attend Parent-Teacher conferences in
October and February.
Review your child’s class work and read all
information sent home from school.
Endorse and support our school’s discipline
code.
Note your child’s progress and display their
work at home.
Take the time to work together with your child
on all assignments and school projects.
Send your child to school on time each day
and make sure they stay all day. School
hours are from 9:05 am to 3:45 pm.
There are other ways to stay involved in your child’s education:
- Join the Wellington PTA.
- Attend as many school events as possible.
- Volunteer in your child’s classroom.
- Keep lines of communication open between home and school. Don’t hesitate to call, write a note, email, or set up a meeting with your child’s teacher.
- Maintain a home environment that supports learning and literacy.
- Model positive behavior for your children.
- Take your child to the Louisville Free Public Library.
