Shacklette is truly a Community of Champions, where teachers care about kids and give them the skills they need for academic, emotional, physical development. The school provides a secure education for our students. Our instructional emphasis is informational literacy.

Each classroom is quipped with a SMART Board, projector, document camera and every teacher has a laptop for high-tech interactive teaching. Student achievement is the focal point of Shacklette where rigor and higher order thinking strategies is the instructional core. Shacklette is committed to academic rigor and relevance for ALL students. With the 2007 purchase of 32 tablet laptops, Shacklette has two computer labs , one stationary and the other mobile.

Because the academics can be challenging and strenuous, our students find release through many extra-curricular activities: Dance, Cheerleading, Student Technology Leadership Program, Chess, Soccer, Volleyball, Student Council.
