 In 1990, with education reform the state legislature determined that students and families needed extra support. It was determined that family resource centers should be established in elementary schools.
Mission
The Family Resource and Youth Services Center's program mission is to enhance students' abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote:
- Early Learning and successful transition into school
- Academic Achievement and well-being
- Graduation and transition into adult life
