Library Policies and Procedures
Students visit the library during scheduled times to check out books either once or twice per week. The schedule changes each quarter. Students generally check out 1 - 2 books unless additional materials are needed for class projects. Students should either return or renew their books after one week has passed. Lost or damaged books should be replaced. (Paperbacks $5.00, Hardbacks, $10.00) Library Curriculum Students participate in a variety of activities in the library media center. Many reading skills are reinforced in the library during scheduled class visits, such as skimming the text, making text connections, and identifying new infoirmation. Further, students are taught to use the online catalog to locate and access materials independently in the context of content instruction. |
