Mill Creek Elementary is one of five schools in the United States that focuses on developing leadership skills in young children and the only leadership magnet in Kentucky.

W e have a weekly Convocation Series which brings leaders to speak to our students every Wednesday. All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are invited to go to Washington DC. Mill Creek is a Charter Member of National Elementary Honor Society. Career electives are offered for elementary students. Opportunities to demonstrate and develop leadership are key focuses. Mill Creek is a host an sponsor for the Youth Leadership Conference. Professional dress codes for students and staff are part of the leadership philosophy.

Mill Creek utlizes a Teacher/Mentor program to partner students with teachers for individual planning, guidance, and leadership goals. Our curriculum incorporates leadership into lessons while utilizing partnerships with with community to bring in existing leaders from business, government, the arts, and education. Mill Creek appreciates and promotes Art and Music. We offer a culturally diverse staff and student body.
