Dear Parents/Guardians:
On behalf of the students, parents, and staff, I am pleased to welcome you to the Dunn Elementary School Web site. Dunn has a long-standing reputation for educational excellence, and the staff and I are committed to continuing this tradition. Students at Dunn are challenged to develop their talents and strengths in a positive and nurturing environment by a caring and dedicated staff. Our curriculum is rigorous, and the instruction is designed to meet students' learning styles. We stress high academic achievement as well as respectful, responsible behavior. We believe in the importance of creating a desire to be lifelong learners in all of our students.
Parent and community support and involvement are critical components for a successful school experience for children. The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has certified Dunn Elementary School as a Parent Involvement School of Excellence. This certification is a symbol of the commitment and dedication of parents, staff, and community members to the common goal of helping all children succeed.
