There are a lot of ways that you can become involved at Cochran Elementary. We hope choose to be a part of us.
*PTA (Parent Teacher Association) -We hope everyone can join the PTA! The cost is $5.00 per adult and the funds are used to further the objectives of parent-teacher work.
*Family Fun Nights - Come to Cochran on these special nights to learn what we are doing in Mathematics, Literacy, Science and Practical Living. Watch for flyers that your child will bring home telling dates and times.
*Library Volunteers -Mrs. Miller-Breetz invites you to help in the library, shelving books and organizing the library.
*FAST (Families and Schools Together) -This is a monthly parent meeting through the Family Resource Center.
*Lunch with Your Child- Parents are always welcome to come eat with their child, but in November we invite everyone to come for a special meal with their child. Cost for lunch is $3.75 for adults. Ask your child's teacher when their lunch time is.
*Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad - Look for flyer announcing these events.
Some very important ways you can be involved with your child's education is to talk to them everyday about what they are doing at school. Ask to see their homework, find out who their friends are and make sure they have the supplies they need to be productive. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call the school and talk to your child's teacher or someone in the office. You are a welcome and vital part of Cochran's community!
