2011-12 SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS

For your convenience, we have a generic supply list for each grade level. These supply lists include only those items that teachers at each grade level have agreed that they will need at the beginning of the year.Your child’s teacher may ask for additional specific items for the classroom.

KINDERGARTEN (PRIMARY 1)
- 4 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 basic colors)
- 20 glue sticks
- 1 plastic school box (standard size 8” x 4 1/2”)
- 4 plain pocket folders
- 2 composition notebooks
- 1 pair of Fiskar scissors with blunt end (safety scissors)

(Please make check for $14.39 payable to Bowen Elementary and present it on the first day of school.)

It will be necessary to replenish some of the supplies during the year. Some of the supplies may be shared with the class during group projects. Please have pencils, scissors, crayons, and glue at home for homework

FIRST GRADE (PRIMARY 2)
- 24 #2 pencils (please sharpen)
- pencil top erasers
- 6 boxes of crayons (no more than 24 packs)
- 10 glue sticks
- scissors (Fiskar)
- school box or pouch for pencils and crayons
- 1 single subject spiral notebook (Please do not get perforated pages.)
- 2 black and white composition notebooks
- 8 pocket folders

Please put student name on as many items as possible.


SECOND GRADE (PRIMARY 3)
- student scissors (Fiskar)
- 12 #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils, please)
- 1 box of crayons (no more than 24)
- 6 glue sticks
- 1 pencil pouch
- 5 plain two pocket folders (red, blue, green, yellow, orange)
- erasers
- 4 one subject wide rule spiral notebooks (science lab)   (red, blue, green, yellow)
- 2 sturdy pocket folders of any design for homework

No liquid glue, markers, pencil boxes, trapper keepers or binders, please.

THIRD GRADE (PRIMARY 4)
These are things we need to start the year; each teacher will send a specific list with items requested just for her class after school begins.
- 3 one subject wide rule spiral notebooks
- 3 grade three writing tablets
- scissors (Fiskar)
- 5 two pocket folders
- #2 pencils
- erasers
- 1 red inkpen (medium point)
- crayons (no more than 48)
- markers
- back pack (please no rollers)
- no binders, trapper keepers, or pencil boxes

Remember, students will need 'home supplies' as well as 'school supplies' to complete homework and projects. Paper, pencils, glue and crayons are most often needed.

GRADE FOUR
- 3 single subject wide-rule spiral notebooks (includes 1 for Science Lab)
- 1 package wide ruled paper (loose leaf)
- 2 dozen #2 pencils (no mechanical)
- 2 red pens
- 1 pair scissors
- 1 box of 24 crayons
- markers
- highlighter (any color)
- glue stick or liquid glue
- pencil pouch
- 8 pocket folders
- 1 Composition Notebook

No binders or trapper keepers, please!


GRADE FIVE
