Bowen students left the classrooms and took to the 'fields' on Friday, September 28, for the annual Bowen Field Day. Students in grades K, 1, and 2 participated in activities throughout the morning, while students in 3, 4, and 5 spent the afternoon outdoors on a beautiful, crisp, fall day. Mrs. Janice Gibson, Physical Education teacher, enthusiastically reported, "It was a huge success!"
Activity stations were designed for the students to show their athletic skills and provide positive interaction with classmates, parents and teachers. The limbo, battleball, sack races, parachute and the big bounce obstacle course were only a few of the fun activities. Parent volunteers and the special area teachers directed the activity stations. The PTA board and members played a huge part in organizing and coordinating the event.
Everyone played hard, showed good sportsmanship, and had a wonderful day. We invite you to share our fun by looking at our photo scrapbook or playing our QuickTime movies.
