Teacher's Note:      Community is the main area of concentration in Social Studies for third grade. My students have been studying our great city, Louisville. Information and pictures were shared in class as well as discussion on the importance of people living and working together in a community. The students each chose their own place of interest to research. We then created a model of these places in class. I am very proud of the students’ effort. They did a wonderful job! - Ellen Fesler
