This Center is a joint venture between Bates and Field Elementary Schools. It is available to the parents and families of all children who attend either of these two schools. Family Resource Centers were created as part of the 1990 Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). We assist in removing barriers that prevent children from learning and to provide services to help students succeed in school. The Center is overseen by an Advisory Council that is made up of parents/caregivers, community members, and school staff. The Council meets on a monthly basis and is open to the public.
