Personal Information:I am surrounded by a wonderful family. I have been married to my husband, Carl, for 29 years and he owns his own marketing firm. We have two adult children, Sunni and Nikolas. Sunni graduated from the University of Kentucky's School of Law in May 2011 and is a practicing attorney at Dinsmore and Shohl in Lexington. Nikolas is senior at UK and just finished playing his last year as a Wide Receiver for the Wildcats. Sunni is married to Steven Harris who graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2011.
I was a stay-at-home mom until Nikolas started school so I have only taught school for 17 years. Carl and I love our children very much but we are thrilled to be empty-nesters. Previously, I taught first grade at Sanders Elementary and Tully Elementary. I have been a Reading Recovery Teacher at Wilkerson since 2004. Teaching reading is truly my passion and I love every minute that I spend with my students.
Interests/Hobbies: Spending time with my family, volunteering at my church (First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown), training for the triple crown of racing each year, cooking, traveling, and shopping
