Our Principal

Cheryl Rigsby

Cheryl Rigsby is currently serving Fern Creek Elementary as Principal. She is married, has two children and four grandchildren. Ms. Rigsby is a high energy leader who focuses on what is best for our students and is willing to help out in any given situation to assist our school. She is kind and responsive. She wants parents to feel welcome and to engage in partnership with the school in order to assure the success of children.

Ms. Rigsby's diverse background includes teaching experience in both elementary and middle schools. She also worked as a Highly Skilled Educator with the Kentucky Department of Education before becoming an administrator for Jefferson County Public Schools. She has a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree from the University of Indiana, with a Rank I in Administration.
