March Training

Introduction to SBDM Part I and II

-- New Council members are required to complete a minimum of six hours of introductory SBDM training. Members who have SBDM experience and have completed the initial six hours of training are required to complete at least three additional hours of training per year.

-- All sessions are held at Gheens Academy (4425 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213).  JCPS employees should register using pdCentral.  Parent representatives may contact Monica Meredith at 485-3059 or monica.meredith@jefferson.kyschools.us to register.

-- District Policy: If school is cancelled or early dismissal is necessary, all professional development sessions will be canceled.

Certified/Classified Staff
To register for SBDM training sessions:

  • Go to the JCPS Home Page, and then click on Employees
  • Under JCPS Professional Development, click on the link to pdCentral
  • Log onto pdCentral by typing in your JCPS e-mail user name and password
  • Click on Search & Register on the right side of the webpage
  • Search by SBDM
  • Hit Search at the right side of the page
  • Click on the SBDM Session(s) you want or
  • Click on the Session Code for that session
  • Click on the drop down window at the bottom of the page and select credit option
  • Click on Register (next to drop down list)
  • Click on PD Home
