School Profile

Crosby Middle's Liberal Arts Academy (an Optional Program) is a schoolwide focus that offers students the opportunity to participate in quality productions and exhibitions in art, music, and communications. Crosby even has its own Piano Lab. The school’s goal is to offer a learning environment that challenges all students to achieve at high levels; that brings the world into the classroom; that develops communication and technology skills; that engages students in problem solving; that integrates the curriculum; that highlights students as workers; and that fosters the qualities of liberal arts, the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Crosby also offers a Traditional Program for students who live within the school’s attendance boundaries. Students are encouraged to Dress for Success by following the school’s Uniform dress code. Crosby offers the Advance Program, the Honors Program, Extended School Services, SECME (Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics, Excellence), and the Sports Club Education Program. Parents are encouraged to participate in the School-Based Decision Making Council.
