Welcome to Newburg MiddleBroadcasting, Podcasting, and STLP
You may not be aware but Newburg Middle School is one of three Math/Science/Technology Magnet Middle Schools in Jefferson County. This means students are given the opportunity to pursue their special interests and abilities through intensive instruction in the school’s Math, Science, and Technology Magnet. Technology is incorporated in all subject areas at all grade levels. In higher education learning we have our own Broadcast/Media studio where we produce our own Broadcasts for our school audience. Outside of the classroom students work to advance their knowledge of technology even further, so we have a morning crew and after school Student Technology Leadership Program. In the classroom when we are not developing broadcasts, we create our own animations for the school’s TV during the day. These cover many different topics from school pride, community programs, to just telling about us. We have also started placing our podcasts, broadcasts, and animations on our school website. The broadcasts and website gives us a chance to share with the school and community what we create every day. No matter your age we are all students of technology and our mission is to educate our fellow students in the area of Technology and Broadcasting. We are always looking for more students who want to enhance their technology skills in front of the camera, behind the camera, or creating the scripts for the camera. So come joins us. |
