School Profile

Newburg Middle gives students opportunities to pursue their special interests and abilities through intensive instruction in the school’s Math, Science, and Technology Magnet. Technology is incorporated in all subject areas at all grade levels. Students enjoy using computers, editing equipment, electronic encyclopedias, and graphics to create video reports. Students also learn about the stock market through a banking and finance unit. Guest speakers, field trips, projects, and business resources further complement the program and prepare students for the technological fields of the future. Newburg also offers the Advance Program, Extended School Services, and the Sports Club Education Program. The school has a Youth Services Center and a School-Based Decision Making Council.
