Students at Meyzeek
Enrollment
Students enroll at Meyzeek Middle School via three different avenues.
Application Materials
Resides Students
First, students who live in Meyzeek’s immediate neighborhood, or “resides” area, automatically come to Meyzeek beginning in 6th grade. Based upon our neighborhood boundaries, portions of the following elementary schools feed into Meyzeek: Breckinridge-Franklin, Bloom, Camp Taylor, Englehard, Lincoln, and Shelby.
Magnet Students
Second, Meyzeek’s Math Science Technology (MST) magnet program offers students who live in the northeast section of Jefferson County an avenue to attend Meyzeek. The MST Magnet Program offers an exciting focus that neighborhood schools may not provide. Students who meet the MST Magnet Program Entrance Qualifications (link here) are encouraged to apply for enrollment.
Students in areas other than the northeast section of Jefferson County may apply to MST Magnet Programs at Newburg Middle School and Farnsley Middle School. To confirm your residence is in Meyzeek's Attendance Area, call the JCPS Demographics Office at 485-3050.
Resides students may apply for admission into the MST Magnet Program as well. Application Materials
Hardship Transfer Students
Third, students neither in the resides area nor in the Magnet Attendance Area may apply for a hardship transfer to Meyzeek. Hardship transfers are considered for enrollment only if space is available after resides and magnet students have enrolled. Unlike resides students and magnet students, the district will not provide transportation to hardship transfer students.
