From the PTSA President
I wanted to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to the many parent volunteers who continue
to make a difference at Crosby Middle School. From volunteering in the bookstore each day to
bringing in food for the staff holiday luncheon to decorating for the winder dance, you never fail
to step up to the plate with your smiles and help! We simply could not do the many things we
want to do for the students and staff without YOU.
It seems so early, but now is the time to begin thinking about the upcoming volunteer opportunities available during the 2012 – 2013 school year. A Nominating Committee has been appointed
by the PTSA Board and will need to be approved at the next PTSA General Meeting (more details
about the meeting will be coming home in February). As stated in the Crosby PTSA Bylaws, the
Nominating Committee is charged with the task of developing the slate of officers for the 2012 – 2013 PTSA Board. Currently, the Nominating Committee is
looking for those individuals who will have a student at
Crosby Middle School next year and are interested in serving
on the board. No previous PTSA Board experience is required; just a desire to make a difference to our Crosby com
-munity, staff and students! If you are interested in learning
more about our PTSA Board positions or would like to volunteer, please contact me lynda0503@yahoo.com. I will be
the chairperson of our nominating committee this year. Although our kids are in middle school now, we still need
MANY parent volunteers so please consider being a part of
our PTSA Board. It is a great way to be involved in your
child’s school and education.
