Doss High School Magnet Career Academy

School Profile
Doss is one of the Districts Magnet Career Academies, offering a four-year program in Early Childhood Education,Sports Medicine and Teacher Academy; and Optional programs in Pre-Engineering, Banking/Finance, Geographic Information Systems and Music Mastery. There are eight additional academic majors available so that each student may choose a field of studies unique to his or her interest and ability. In addition to 13 disciplines, extended learning opportunities are available for qualified students including the Honors Program; Governors Scholars; the Lincoln Foundation; co-op placement at five local banks and UPS; and Project AVID (a program to help improve students study skills and confidence in preparation for college). The addition of an Advanced Placement Program and shadowing experiences for engineering students perpetuates the continuous drive to provide successful experiences for all students. Futhermore, students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities from athletic teams to honor societies.
