Ballard Theatre

Created just 7 years young, Ballard Theatre is a thriving, creative part of the Fine Arts at Ballard High School.  With performances ranging from original student-written work, to competition one-acts, to full-length plays, to an all-school musical, we are proud to offer a wide range of performance opportunities and courses.  The 2010-2011 school year even saw the beginning of a Stagecraft class for those students more interested in the technical aspects of theatre.  We are also home to International Thespian troupe #6932.

Our biggest honor yet:
Representing KY at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland!!!
Ballard Theatre has worked hard to build a high quality program over the last 6 years.  That effort has been recognized -We are thrilled to be the Kentucky school selected to represent our state at the 2011 International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland this summer.  A group of 12 students and parents are heading to Edinburgh at the beginning of August, spending two days in London before heading to Edinburgh, where they will present "'Round the World and Back Again - a brief and inaccurate history of everything."
While this honor presents an amazing opportunity for our students, it also presents a real challenge financially.  Please consider being an INTERNATIONAL PATRON OF THE ARTS.  While ANY amount of additional support is greatly appreciated, we do have specific categories of support you may wish to consider.
The Categories are:
Patron of the Arts $25 – 99
Sustaining Patron $100 – 499
Stage Manager's Club $200-499
 Director's Circle $500-999
