PTSA

Parent Teacher Student Association

Valley Traditional High School

We invite parents of youth age 13-20 to participate in an important survey being conducted by Seven Counties Services Prevention Division.  The results of the survey will help Jefferson County, as well as groups in other cities and states, address underage drinking and other important health issues in local communities.  After completing the survey, you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 gift card.

Mission Statement

The PTSA continues to be an advocate for children and youth. The education, health and safety of every child is the PTSA’s main focus. To accomplish these goals, the PTSA emphasizes the importance of parent involvement. Success in school increases when parents are involved with their children’s education, supporting the value of learning in both the home and the school. A majority of the money goes towards scholarships for Valley seniors.

The PTA Mission

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the school, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;

To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and

To assist parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
