In partnership with the corporation for National and Community Service, Habitat provides hundreds of service opportunities for persons of diverse ages and backgrounds (including paid positions).

The place to help yourself and others. This site lists over 26,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 153 countries, which you can search or browse by name, location or mission.

Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network

This site lists information about a wide variety of volunteer opportunities in a variety of organziations.

Government sponsored opportunities. This national organization helping Americans serve their country in extraordinary and countless ways. Links to other sites under this government agency.

Through ServeNet, users can enter their zip code, city, state, skills, interests, and availability and can be matched with organziations needing help. ServeNet is also a place to search for calendar events, job openings, service news, recommended books and best practices.

US Peace Corps

Mostly for college graduates. Peace Corp is a way to serve people in need in many countries around the world. Offers paid postitions.

YMCA Career Pathways

Many YMCA employees start their careers as member service coordinators, instructors, life guards, health and fitness trainers, child care and camp counselors, community outreach directors and sports directors.
