
Marty Pollio is in his fifth year as principal at Jeffersontown High School. Pollio has worked in Jefferson County Public Schools for a total of 16 years. Pollio has a B.S. in Education from Indiana University, a M.A. in Education from Eastern Kentucky University and his Rank One in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisville. He is currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Educational Leadership at U of L. He was a teacher at Shawnee High School and Waggener High School before accepting a position in administration at Waggener. While at Waggener High School, Mr. Pollio served as athletics director and assistant principal. During that time, he also was promoted to principal intern in order to prepare for his future goal of becoming a principal. In June of 2007, Pollio was hired as the new principal of Jeffersontown High School. He is very proud of the great things that have happened at J-Town High School over the past three years and he believes that the school is on its way to becoming the best high school in the state of Kentucky. Pollio is married to the former Jessica Bainum and is most proud of his six year old daughter, Genevieve.
