Stomp your hands, clap your feet. Wait, that's not right! Is it? Of course it is on the Eastern High School Step Team. The 20 team members are dedicated steppers, they always manage to grab the crowd's attention.

This year the team has competed in various competitions where they have taken home first, second and third place honors. This is the first year in Eastern's history that the Step Team has taken home a first place. They deserve major props for their hard work and dedication.

They always show up with something fresh and new, knowing how to turn on an enthusiastic crowd. They participate in our spirited school pep rallies, competitions, elementary rallies at Hite, Derby events, exhibitions for fitness, and communtiy service for individuals with mental disabilities.

The sponsor and motivator of the step team is Mrs. Pittman. Their coach is U of L student Marian Kennedy. The step team only uses Hip-Hop and Rap music, we can guess why, its all about the beats!
