The Class of 2011 will have their Ring Ceremony on Friday, March 12 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. The Junior Ring Dance will be Saturday, March 13 from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.

What is the Ring Ceremony?

In May 2009 the Juniors of Eastern High School became the new Seniors to dominate the school. Students and relatives of the junior class gathered together in the large gym for the yearly affair.

Students received special recognition for excellence, such as perfect GPA’s, admissions to Governor’s Scholars or School of the Arts, and perfect attendance. Students also received book awards from colleges for excellence in particular subject areas.

The ceremony concluded with all the students receiving their class rings and a reception provided by the sophomore class.

The Junior prom followed on Saturday in Eastern's gym. The juniors kicked off their heals and loosened their ties… it’s was time to party! Junior prom was certainly much more than your average school event. Members of the junior class came out ready to dance in their finest attire; from sequins and sparkles to bowties and cufflinks, everyone was red-carpet material!
