Academic Programs
Doss High School offers a strong curriculum that emphasizes technology and courses at the Advanced Placement, honors, and comprehensive levels. Within this curriculum, students will select a School of Study in which to major. Each program of study is designed to prepare students for life-long success in post-secondary study and career endeavors. Each major is connected to dual credit, articulated credits, or industry standard certifications. In addition to the liberal arts curriculum students may apply for acceptance into the following: The above programs provide opportunities for job shadowing and student mentoring. College credit can be obtained through Advanced Placement classes and dual credit courses with local colleges and universities. Also the School-to-Career Initiative enables students cooperative work experience at United Parcel Service while earning up to nine hours college credit. Curriculum has been developed in cooperation with professionals in the field and faculty from the University of Louisville and Sullivan College . To graduate with an Honors Diploma, a student must complete a minimum of 22 Carnegie units from the following designated areas:
