Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
National HOSA Motto"The Hands of HOSA Mold the Health of Tomorrow." Central High HOSA has participated in State and National conferences every year for the past 13 years, going to Nationals for the last 12 years with State winners. For three of those years, Central students brought home National Top Ten awards. In 1995, two Veterinary Science students brought home a second place in Dental Spelling and a third place in Veterinary Assisting at the National level. Along with attending conferences, HOSA members take part in community-service projects such as enhancing the green space around our school, removing graffiti, and collecting food for Thanksgiving baskets. Meetings are held about once a month. Officers are elected the spring before, and they attend Leadership Conference early in October to learn how to best serve the organization. |
