     Clinical is every other week where the classroom is opened to pets of all types for grooming, physical exams, and laboratory work. Juniors begin the initial grooming, seniors complete advanced grooming, perform physical exams and complete lab testing.

Qualified Juniors may work monthly at the Louisville Zoological Gardens during school hours.

Qualified Seniors may take the Introduction to Animal Science course offered separately. Completion of this course and passing the final with a C or better earns the student three hours in college credit accepted at all Kentucky universities/colleges.

Those seniors who are qualified and desire employment may co-op their senior year.
