Teacher's Note:
After studying and researching the Native American tribes and their regions, each student was to take part in a project to demonstrate what they had learned about each region. The project consisted of five parts: 1. Power Point presentation, 2. Model of tribe's shelter, 3. Hand-made costume, 4. Demonstration of a tribal game, 5. Presentation given to class. The students were divided into five groups where each represented one of the Native American regions: Southwest, Northwest Coast, Arctic, Eastern Woodlands, and Plains. Every aspect of the project was 100% student created. Every group did an excellent job demonstrating what they had learned about each region and the Native American tribes that lived there!
