An
education is one thing that can be earned, but cannot be taken away by
anyone.
Teaching
at Bloom is a highlight in my life. I have been teaching about 25 years
with time taken off to raise my 4 sons, ages 24, 23, 17 &15. My oldest
son just graduated from U-L and the youngest is attending Atherton. All
four of my boys attended the best elementary in Jefferson County,
Bloom! I’ve been teaching in Jefferson
County for many years at various
schools, but I also taught and worked as a school psychologist in Ohio for about 6
years. I have a B.S. in Education from Wright
State University
in Ohio and a M.Ed. in Counseling and
Psychology from Wright State University
in consortium with the University
of Dayton. Additional
graduate level courses, I’ve taken have been through U-L and Eastern Kentucky University.
Besides
teaching, I am an avid runner, but I also enjoy cycling and walking with
friends. Reading,
learning new things, being a vegetarian and striving to be physically, mentally
and spiritually healthy are all passions of mine.
