Amy Held, Library Media Specialist

Whitney Young's Media Center has thousands of books available to check out in various languages, including English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian and Arabic. We have a kiva, a circular area with tiered seating where students can participate in read-alouds or readers' theatre. Additionally, there are five computers for student use of Internet research and online library book browsing. Amy Held, our Library Media specialist, maintains the Media Center as the school's hub of inquiry and knowledge and acquires and maintains diverse resources for students and teachers.
