Thank you for choosing Wheeler Elementary School for your child’s learning experience! We are very proud of the programs we offer and feel certain your child will benefit immensely from their experiences while at Wheeler.

In addition to offering regular programming, Wheeler offers Education to the 2nd Power, our program for gifted and talented children. Extracurricular opportunities include the Young Rembrandts after-school art program and a before-school chess club offering instruction to beginning and experienced chess players. Additionally, students at Wheeler have the opportunity to participate in band, orchestra, and Suzuki-method violin.

Wheeler Elementary provides a rigorous curriculum that is tied to state standards. On-going assessments in reading, math, and science provide you and your child’s teacher with information regarding individual student abilities and instructional needs. Through special area classes, students participate in the library program, technology lab, theatre arts and practical living.

Wheeler is a leader in technology with three wireless mobile laptop carts, digital cameras, and a student technology leadership team. While at Wheeler, your child will have the opportunity to participate in engaging technological activities from Robotics to Claymation.

Our award-winning counseling program, Family Resource Center, and PTA are here to assist students and families with needed resources to meet individual needs and to enhance daily lives.
