Watson Lane School Philosophy

We, the staff of Watson Lane Elementary School, believe that each child is a unique individual with different educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds. We feel that is it our responsibility to meet the academic, physical, social and emotional needs of each child. It is important for our students to develop self-discipline and a respect for individual differences.

In working to develop the whole child, we feel it is important for the students to develop a good self-concept and to be provided with experiences which will enable him/her to develop the ability to think and make wise decisions on his/her own.

It is only with the school, home, and community working together that we can prepare our children to meet the challenges of the future as responsible citizens.
