Our Family Resource Center Coordinator is Nicole Clark.
Family Resource Centers were started in Kentucky schools as a part of KERA (the Kentucky Education Reform Act) in the early 1990's. This is the second year that Tully has had a Family Resource Center. Our primary mission is to help students succeed in school and reduce barriers to learning.
Some of our projects and activities during the 2011-2012 school year will include:
-
Assistance with after-school programs to provide enriching activities for students during non-school hours
-
Health care referrals, to help students meet school health requirements
-
School-based counseling/therapy through Seven Counties Services
-
Parent Workshops (in collaboration with other area Family Resource Centers) dealing with issues of common concern to parents, such as discipline and help with schoolwork
-
Programs to provide enrichment for students during school hours
-
Assistance in dealing with attendance problems
-
Assistance in locating appropriate child care, for school-age or pre-school children
-
Programs for new and expectant parents
-
Support and training for child-care providers
-
Most important, we are here to assist students and families on any issues that might arise during the year
If you have additional questions, or to get specific information on how we may be able to assist your family or child, call Nicole Clark at 485-8338 or 485-7004; or email at nicole.clark@jefferson.kyschools.us
