Tully's art program covers the Kentucky Core Content for Kindergarten through fifth grade. This involves: Structures in the Arts, Humanities, Purposes and Processes.
We annually participate in various art contests such as PTA Reflections and Derby Welcome Cards. In the past we have displayed student art work at the St. James Court Art Show and the Derby Museum. We continually are asked to display student art work at Gheens Professional Academy.
Mrs. Thornbury, our art teacher, provides an after school art club and a summer art camp for primary and intermediate grades. Sign-ups are posted in Tully's Dateline newsletter. The art club/camp members explore more involved processes such as paper mache. Past projects include: macrame, ceramics, sketching, watercolor and jewelry making.
