Library Catalog/ Activities / Policies / Checkout Schedule / Teachers / Students / Research Book Check-out Hours and Policies: Prior to checking out any books each student will need to have a permission slip signed by his or her parent or guardian. This agreement states that the student has permission to check out books from the library and that if the book is lost or damaged, the parent agrees to pay the cost of replacement. Students may check out only one book at a time for a one week period; however, the book may be renewed for an additional week. Students in grades P1 and P2 will check out books that are kept in the classroom and shared with classmates. All other students may take their books home. Lost or Damaged Materials: No fines are charged for overdue materials, however, a replacement fee is charged for all lost and damaged materials. Check out privileges will be suspended until any overdue books are returned or the replacement cost of any damaged or lost book has been received. Replacement cost for a lost book will be requested after a search by the student and the LMC staff has been made. After the second overdue notice has been sent, a letter will be sent home with the title and amount due of the lost item. If the lost item is found, the payment will be reimbursed. Volunteers: Volunteers are a valuable resource and are always welcome in the library media center. Please let us know if you would be interested in presenting a special program, being a guest reader, or lending a hand in the library.
