family resource center
The Mill Creek Family Resource Center has been created as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA).
The Resource Center provides a variety of services to enhance each student’s ability to succeed in school. These services include family crisis assistance, mental-health counseling, parent workshops, tutoring programs, health-care assistance, the New Baby Club, assistance for obtaining a General Educational Development diploma (GED), recreational activities, etc. The Resource Center provides direct services or links your family with other resources in the community. The Center is available to all children, parents, and families in the community. The coordinator, Bri Gilbert, may be reached at 485-8116.
The Center’s hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An Advisory Council made up of parents, community leaders, and school personnel provides input into the Center’s operation.
Please contact the Family Resource Center if you have any ideas or suggestions for programs. We want to offer activities/programs that are of interest to you and your family. We look forward to hearing from you this year!
