The mission of the school Media Center is for everyone to become independent critical thinkers. This is done by utilizing the library to the fullest, whether it is for checking out materials, working on projects, using the facilities for testing, or for small group instruction. The Library belongs to everyone!

CHECKOUT/CIRCULATION POLICY - Faculty

Staff can check out as many books or materials as needed. Items checked out are due back by the end of the year.

CHECKOUT/CIRCULATION POLICY - Students

In order to check out a book, student must have permission from home and take responsibility for lost or damaged books. A permission form is available from the Librarian.

Students can check out 1 book at a time unless additional books are needed for class assignments such as feature articles or for ECE instruction.

Books are due back the following week but can be renewed until the book is completed.

Lost or damaged books must be paid for before checking out a new one.

All books must be returned two weeks prior to the end of the school year.

LIBRARY RULES

The Library is available for additional check-out during open periods. Open spaces may be used as needed. Please check with the Library Clerk beforehand to make sure there is no conflict.

Students and staff model the School's adopted MegaSkills program. This program focuses on developing and fostering the following attitudes and behaviors - confidence, motivation, effort, responsibility, initiative, perseverance, caring, teamwork, common sense, and problem solving.
