Welcome to Jane Glass Hite Elementary!

Jane glass hite elementary!

Jane Glass Hite Elementary is located in Middletown, Kentucky.  The school opened in 1963 and shares a large campus with Eastern High School.  Hite Elementary is a small suburban school with an enrollment of approximately  520 students, including Head Start, Kindergarten, and 1st through 5th grades.

"Success is the only option!" This Mission Statement is threaded through every aspect at Hite, from the staff members beliefs to parent and community expectations. Our community truly believes that excuses are unacceptable and decisions are made with student success as the focus.

Parent and community involvement are significant.  The school was recognized by the National PTA as a Parent Involvement School of Excellence, and by the Kentucky PTA as the first winner of the state award for involving dads in schools.  In 2012, a Hite parent was named Kentucky State PTA “Volunteer of the Year.”

There are numerous enrichment offerings for students at Hite, with an effort to provide opportunities for varying abilities and interests.  Program offerings include chess, fencing, equestrian club, academic teams, jump rope demo team, choir, percussion ensemble, technology teams, cross country, art classes, and hands-on science activities.

Hite strives to be a resource for families and the community.  The school is well respected in the district and state, and annual accountability measures place Hite among the top tier in the school district and state.
